Hi, I brought The Noun Game to our studio.
Our family has played the classic Name-Place-Animal-Thing playground game for years. I champion our five-category version: call “Noun!” when you finish, then find out which answers are truly yours.
A word race, a number mystery, and plenty of room on the shelf for whatever gets invented next.
Generate a letter. Fill every category on your score pad before 60 seconds run out. When your row is complete, call “Noun!” and see whose answers stand alone.
Generate one letter, then race through five score-pad categories: name, animal, place, food, and thing. Quick answers help. Unique answers win.
Use the generator as the neutral caller, then write answers on your score pads—no typing needed.
Enter each player’s points after a round, then add them to the running totals. The leader moves to the top automatically.
Tap “Generate a letter.” Every answer begins with the letter on screen.
Start the 60-second timer. Fill name, animal, place, food, and thing; the first finisher calls “Noun!”
Read answers together. A false “Noun!” ends the caller’s scoring for that round.
Unique answer: 10 points. Matching answer: 5. Blank or invalid answer: 0.
Take turns calling any number—no number cards needed. Everyone races to spell it, count its letters, and repeat with each new count. First to reach four yells “Four!” and takes the tally.
Enter any starting number, or let the generator call one for solo or group play. Race the clock and write each spelling and letter count into the chain pad. Reach 4 to finish.
Press “Start the round.” You will spell the number, count only its letters, and use that count as the next number.
Why does it stop? “Four” has four letters, so once the chain reaches 4, it repeats forever: four → 4 → four.
One player calls out any whole number they choose.
Everyone races: spell it, count the letters, then repeat with the new number.
First to reach 4 yells “Four!” and earns one tally.
The next player calls a number for the next round. First to 10 tallies wins.
Give the round winner one point. The running leader moves to the top automatically.
The boxed kit includes a first-to-10 tally sheet and writable chain sheets. Players take turns calling any number, so there is no number deck to carry. Play here now, or request the tabletop edition below.
We’re a brother-and-sister game-making team. We’ve played the classic Name-Place-Animal-Thing game at our family table for years, and spell4 began there too. We try every rule, race through plenty of rematches, and keep building until each game feels right.

I invented spell4 when I was about to go to sleep and then I figured out every number including billions and decimals can all be traced back to 4 if they are spelled
